Spencer Gross hosts Swing Set, which offers the best in western swing music from the ’30s to today. Now some of it some of it may be a little western jazzy, or western bluesy, or even a little honky tonky. He plays the pioneers of western swing and the current western swingers. And he’s expanded the Swing Set playlist just a little to include some of the original jazz and swing artists that influenced and inspired the first western swingers like Bob Wills and Milton Brown and whose music continues to influence today’s western swing artists. Sometimes he opens up the Great American Songbook and pulls out a great standard performed by an artist you might usually hear on WDVX. And he always plays a couple of cowboy songs too!
