We serve counties in the Cumberland Mountains and the Great Valley of East Tennessee. Our main transmitter is atop Cross Mountain in Campbell County, TN. We also broadcast in Knoxville at 102.9 from translator W275AD and in the Seymour area at 93.9 on translator W230BR. The station has studios in Knoxville, TN & Norris, TN.

Live Performances

Johnny Cash once said that singing on the radio was a big deal. And we still believe this is true. Live performance is an important part of WDVX programming, which features a variety of the roots music we’re all about. It’s a mix of Bluegrass, Americana, Classic and Alternative Country, Western Swing, Blues, Old Time and Appalachian Mountain Music, Bluegrass Gospel, Celtic and Folk.

Sprinkled into that is roots music from other parts of the world, as well as some good old rock ‘n’ roll, and local artists. WDVX offers our listeners a variety of specialty shows featuring music you can’t hear anywhere else.

WDVX reports to the Americana Music Association, Living Blues Magazine monthly survey, and the Roots Music Chart.

WDVX is proud of its commitment to local and regional musicians, providing an outlet for their talents on live radio shows in front of an audience and in-studio performances at our studios located in the Knoxville Visitor Center in downtown Knoxville.

Community

Something else that matters to us here at WDVX is community collaboration. WDVX partners with a variety of community organizations in the area to promote the arts and culture of our region. We also provide announcements and on-air opportunities plus interview time to organizations working to make East Tennessee better.

We invite you to tune in on the radio, stream live audio at WDVX.com, or attend a live performance and become part of East Tennessee’s Own.
