He shares at least one track from the album each hour while giving listeners a little of the background and historical context for the album and the artist. During the 9:00 hour, Nelson’s Three Songs interview airs. This is where he speaks with songwriters about their process. Nelson chooses two songs from the featured artists to discuss and asks them to choose a third from an artist they admire.
