The WDVX Blue Plate Special – 5/28 – Tyler Tisdale / Sahara Moon

May 28 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Navigation

Tyler Tisdale’s roots may be deep in the heart of the South, but the geographical area in which the wildly-talented singer/songwriter calls home hardly defines him as a performer.

After spending the last several years fronting Midnight Revel, a five-piece power jam band whose 2018 genre-bending album was named “Album of the Year’ by Signature Magazine, Tyler has returned to his roots with an acoustic guitar in hand and a new solo effort that is catching waves throughout the region.

Although Tyler’s powerful, but precise voice long ago earned him the reputation of having one of the biggest voices in the South, his new songs are creating a buzz all over again. With the help of Steve Azar, Tyler released “She’s The One” (9/9/21), “The Things They Want Me To Do” (10/21/21) , “Burden Or A Heavy Load” (12/ 2/21), “High” (1/28/22) and the album title track, “If It’s All The Same To You” (4/29/22).

The full album was released on May 13, 2022 with live shows that weekend at 320 Fifth Street in his home state of Mississippi and 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville.

Sahara Moon is a singer-songwriter and artist who comes from the coastal region of New Jersey and is currently based in Nashville. Her soulful vocals blend “the classic seventies vibe” with a modern feel. With an eclectic sound, Moon’s style of music is an Uptown Americana with an influence of jazz, folk, and blues; similar to Norah Jones. She has shared the stage with Gabe Dixon, Blackberry Smoke, The Marshall Tucker Band, Robert Cray, Stephen Kellogg, Billy Currington amongst others and has performed for notable festivals such as Let’s Go! Music Festival, Mayday Music Festival, and Americanafest.

Moon released three single releases in 2023. Her recent collaboration of Coldplay’s “Clocks” with Alex Baker has reached over three million streams. She released her debut “Worthy” EP in 2020 which features “Everything Will Be Alright” and “Beauty In A Rose.” Her debut single, “New York” was released in 2018.
