Long Prairie has been serenading venues since the 1990’s getting her start performing at karaoke nights and open-mics. Now frequently playing music around the Texas Hill Country. She has a dynamic and soulful vocal and is a solid rhythm guitarist and has been a devoted songwriter most of her adult life. She has three full-length albums under her belt and is about to start recording her fourth. Born and raised in the Northwoods of Minnesota (hence the name Long Prairie.) Coming from a household that always had music playing (mostly oldies music) she gravitated towards traditional acoustic instruments and fell in love with songwriting. She has been compared to Patty Loveless, Gillian Welch, and Natalie Merchant (to name a few.) She remembers freestyle songwriting as a small child and it just came natural to her, she thought it was fun and still does. She has undeniable talent and enjoys sharing her music. Catch her in coffeehouses, distilleries, bars, wineries, private events, or on the back of flatbed pickup truck.
