Colton Zenni
Born and raised right here in East Tennessee, Colton’s musical roots run to his core. At an early age, Colton seized control of his parents’ vinyl and cd collection, spending his days after school pouring over seemingly endless stacks of music. From Mississippi John Hurt, to Flat and Scruggs, to The Grateful Dead, Colton forged his musical foundations early. Colton began his time with WDVX in 2019 when he came on board as a production and marketing intern.
“Man- I grew up with WDVX on the radio constantly. It was the only station I got that played music that I was actually interested in… it was the only station that played music that was actually good. So when I got the opportunity to intern at WDVX, I was so excited. I knew I had to grab hold and hang on tight!”
Today, Colton is the host of Uncle John’s Marble City Jam, airing on WDVX Saturday afternoons from 3 pm to 7pm. Uncle John’s Marble City Jam features a wide variety of music with Americana roots influence that emphasizes improvisation, jamming, and musical exploration. The show features an eclectic mix of genre-blending bluegrass, country, rock, blues, and jazz. You can expect to hear lots of extended jams and live selections from artists like The Grateful Dead, Billy Strings, The Allman Brothers Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, Sam Bush, and much, much more!
