Make Music Knoxville is a free, participatory celebration of Knoxville-based community music making that happens every June and December 21st. Featuring artists of diverse genres and backgrounds, our mission is to elevate collective music making and celebrate the culture, sights and sounds of our city!

Make Music Knoxville is a part of Make Music Day, an international day of music celebration born out of the French celebration Fête de la Musique which began in the 1980’s. Today, Make Music Day welcomes over 90 chapters, including Tennessee Chapters in both Nashville and Chattanooga, as part of a growing movement of celebrating arts and culture in cities across the globe.
