February 19 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Event Navigation
Jay Rin is a Nashville based, Southern California born and raised, fierce, soulful, and playful rock n roll revivalist whose raw vocal power and vibrant spirit can be compared to the likes of big names like Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, and Bonnie Raitt. Jay Rin likes to call her music “fringe” as it dances on the edge of many classic and alternative influences with a bold creative freedom you can hear in the sonic journey of her recent debut album “Fool on the Fringe” which has started to gain traction with radio and audiences across the world with tracks that recently got her a unanimous “STAY” on The Heidi and Frank “Stay or Go” show on KLOS 95.5.
The “World Famous” Mt. LeConte Jug Band was formed a number of years ago by several friends pickin’-n-grinin’ in the LeConte Lodge in the Great Smoky Mountains. It is currently comprised of three friends playing Classic Americana on amplified acoustic instruments. Their eclectic mix of music, and shared lead vocals, make them a rather unique and popular East Tennessee string band. The Band has varied sound systems tailored to the size of venue; and is available to play private parties, nonprofit fundraisers, festivals, and restaurants. They are veterans of the WDVX Blue Plate Special (broadcast worldwide), Museum of Appalachia (Smithsonian affiliated), Historic Palace and Tennessee Valley Theaters, UT Chattanooga Alumni events, and many nonprofit fundraisers (to date over $300k). Jug on!
