East Tennessee native Sarah Pirkle is a multi-instrumentalist, music instructor, and songwriter. In 2021 she was inducted into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame, songwriting category. She is a 2021 recipient of the South Arts Folk & Traditional
Arts Master Artist Fellowship She is the program director and fiddle instructor for 2 affiliates of Junior Appalachian Musicians in the Knoxville region.
