The WDVX Blue Plate Special — 6/20 — Simon Elijah / Big Dumb Hick
June 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Simon Elijah is a nineteen year old singer-songwriter from upstate New York. A soulful storyteller, he draws from a wide variety of inspirations ranging from John Prine to Jason Isbell. Simon’s fresh young voice invites audiences to gather around the warm campfire of his compelling lyrics and clever wit. He released his first album, Fly Out in 2025 and his second collection, Nameless, is scheduled for release in May 2026.

Known as the “Bigdumbhick” (that’s one word) Jeff Wall is a larger than life (literally) giant of a solo acoustic performer who blends back porch music with a unique sense of humor and mesmerizing storytelling.
A fearless entertainer who can switch from hilarious toe-tapping grooves to deep, emotional moments in the blink of an eye, all while keeping audiences totally rapt and spellbound. Whether it’s a “Squeaky-Clean, Whole-milk, Leave it to Beaver, Baptist Preacher and Grandma Approved” family-friendly set or a more Adult-Oriented, Side-Splitting, “I don’t know what I expected but it wasn’t THAT” Mature audiences only type of show, Jeff is easy to work with and is ready to make your next event unforgettable.
Being mostly house-broken, (He pees outside much more than inside) Jeff is easy to work with, and has all the necessary equipment needed to perform at your venue or event. Primarily a solo performer, he can quickly assemble a duo, trio, or even a four-o (quart-o?) should that be what you need. With plenty of references and a commitment to making every gig unforgettable, he is ready to bring the groove and the laughter to your next event, and would love the opportunity to come and entertain you and your guests, put a smile on everyone’s face, and hopefully be able to continue to chase his lifelong dream of not starving to death.
