Bobby Fulcher
Bob Fulcher, Park Manager of the Cumberland Trail and founder and long time Director of the Tennessee State Parks Folklife Project, is internationally renowned for his encyclopedic and enthusiastic knowledge of the nature and culture of the Cumberland Mountains and for many years of important fieldwork and presentation in the traditional arts. On “Music of the Cumberland Trail” Bobby plays many rare custom recordings of undiscovered musicians living or passed, as well as the professional output of those who made their mark, “the music of our neighbors” in the eleven-county corridor of the 283-mile foot trail under construction from Signal Point to Cumberland Gap. He also keeps us up to date on the projects of the Cumberland Trail Conference coordinating the efforts of eager trail-building volunteers.
