Electric Darling is a soul-rock band that formed in 2015, but its members are not new to the Knoxville music scene. Guitarists Cozmo Holloway and Kevin Hyfantis were formerly with The Dirty Guv’nahs and Matt Nelson and Luke Palmers Bowers make up the rythm section of Cereus Bright. The talents of these four combined with lead vocals by Yasameen Hoffman-Shahin create something truly special.
They’ll be playing at Knoxville’s Rhythm n’ Blooms Festival April 8th, and it’s sure to be an incredible show! See Electric Darling Friday at 12:30 a.m. at the Jackson Terminal (where WDVX Host Red Hickey will be all day Saturday). You can also enjoy them on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Cripple Creek stage.
The WDVX camper will be on hand in that area as well (on Jackson across from the main stage) so come see us, meet your favorite hosts and snag some great merchandise. Visit us at Rhythm n’ Blooms and enter for your chance to win a pair of tickets (we’re giving away 2 pairs) for a VIP Experience to see the Hackensaw Boys at Sugarlands Distilling Company on April 15th!
In the meantime, enjoy this tune from Electric Darling, “Hard Times.”
Electric Darling has soulful flair infused with rock and roll. We think you might enjoy listening to their song while drinking this week’s Sip, which is also infused with some of your favorite flavors.
This is the latest in our blog series, A Song & A Sip, brought to you in part from our friends at Sugarlands Distilling Company.
Each week, they share a great drink recipe as part of their #WhatToDrinkWednesday, and we thought it would be fun to pair the drinks with an amazing music performance.
