East Tennessee’s Own Listener Supported Radio Launches New Website Just in Time for Fund Drive
March 7, 2016 — Knoxville, Tenn. WDVX, East Tennessee’s own Listener Supported Radio is proud to unveil the all new WDVX.com. The new site has been designed to offer the ultimate user-friendly experience, with improved navigation and functionality. By giving listeners better access to everything that matters most to them, the new WDVX.com is an online destination for fans of the station’s eclectic music mix that includes American roots music from Blues to Bluegrass.
“Not only does the station’s new website offer a more robust live show calendar, but it also provides an enhanced experience to listen to live and archived programs,” said Linda Billman, WDVX general manager. “This means that listeners around the globe can enjoy the Americana and roots music played on WDVX anytime day or night.”
WDVX.com puts all the information fans want in an easy-to-use format, plus it simplifies the process to submit postcards, connect with program hosts and find things that matter to them.
Another new feature of WDVX’s updated site is increased social media integration. Visitors can learn more about their favorite programs and hosts as well as be part of the online conversation and ultimately the online community.
“As a nonprofit radio station, WDVX depends on its corporate and foundation underwriters and the new website allows the station to offer more visibility to these important partners,” said Roger Harb, WDVX underwriting and marketing director. “Additionally, the site is better aligned with the station’s mission of creating content that promotes the cultural heritage of East Tennessee, shining a spotlight on the amazing artists who help keep the music going,” said Harb.
The launch of the new website coincides with the station’s weeklong “Party on the Radio” Spring Fund Drive. By making it even easier for fans to support this community-focused organization, the all new WDVX.com will serve as an invaluable tool for the station going forward.
