An Extra Helping of the Blue Plate Special : Lara Hope & The Ark-Tones “Working Man’s Tools”

Lara Hope and the Ark-Tones got up early after their recent show at the Preservation Pub and “Rock-a-billy-ed” the Blue Plate Special stage. From Kingston, NY, they were named the “Best Up-And-Coming band in 2015” by Hudson Valley Magazine, and nominated for “Best Rockabilly Female” at the 2016 Ameripolitan Music Awards. “Luck Maker”, the band’s first album, is in regular rotation here at WDVX, and we were excited to hear that Lara Hope and the Ark-Tones are headed back into the studio this December. Lara told us that the tune in this video, “Working Man’s Tools”, will be on the new album, and that this was the first time the song had ever been “On The Air”.
