An Extra Helping of the Blue Plate Special – Chris Henry and the Hardcore Grass

Chris Henry and the Hardcore Grass stopped by the Blue Plate stage before their recent gig at Scruffy City Hall. Chris is a veteran “grasser,” but has been influenced by all kinds of music, including rock, Celtic, rap, and hip-hop.

He calls his new band Hardcore Grass because of the intensity with which they perform his music – described as a kind of “white-knuckle, bite the cap off the coke bottle grit.”

The band members here are:
Chris Henry – Mandolin
Brent Lamons – Banjo
Pat Hoeper – Fiddle
Brad Benge – Bass
Merle Johnson – Guitar
