The Hello Strangers poet Denton Loving

January 26, 2015 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 pm Free

Event Navigation

What does Austin-influenced, rural-Pennsylvanian, indie sister-folk sound like? Verbosity aside, it sounds uniquely like The Hello Strangers, a sister duo, comprised of Larissa Chace Smith and Brechyn Chace, whose haunting harmonies and original, wittingly noir songwriting style are the backbone of their sound. Denton Loving, author of the new book of poems, “Crimes Against Birds,” will join us to read in our Wordplay segment. Tennessee Shines Radio Show is performed for a live audience every Monday at 7 p.m. at the Knoxville Visitor Center and is broadcast live on WDVX FM and WDVX.com. Admission is $10 for adults, free for students with valid ID and kids 14 and under. Advanced tickets are available online at BrownPaperTickets.com, Monday thru Friday at the Blue Plate Special at the Knoxville Visitor Center, and at the door on the night of the show beginning when doors open at 6pm.
