DESCRIPTION:The Tidalwave Road Bluegrass Band: \nBEN PARKER\nBanjo\, Vocals\nBenjamin Russell Parker grew up in Williamsburg and McKee\, Kentucky and still makes his home in Williamsburg today. \nBen started playing music at age 19\, being heavily influenced by Earl Scruggs\, Ralph Stanley and Dave Evans. As a multi-instrumentalist\, Ben plays Banjo\, Guitar and Fiddle. \nBefore Tidalwave Road was born\, he was a proud member of the ‘Colonel’ Larry Fuller Band. Fuller was a 40-year veteran musician and beloved Kentucky Colonel who was adored far and wide by his fans and sadly passed in 2007. \nAs a founding member of Tidalwave Road\, Ben Parker brings his unique Banjo and vocal stylings to the band along with his good humor. He is a professional Barber by day and is happily married to his lovely wife Trish\, with whom he has two children\, Cole and Landenn. \nBen also loves to kayak\, ride ATV’s\, and try to build fiddles. \nCARLIE PARKER\nMandolin\, Vocals\nCarlie Parker grew up on Tidal Wave Road in Rockholds\, Kentucky and still makes his home in Rockholds today.\nCarlie started playing music at age 8\, and credits his Grandparent and his Uncle Nick as his biggest influences. As a multi-instrumentalist\, Carlie plays Mandolin and Guitar.\nAs a founding member of Tidalwave Road\, and kin to Ben\, Carlie brings his special family blend of harmony to the band. He is a professional bus driver and mower by day and is happily married to his best friend\, with whom he has one son that he is currently teaching how to play music. \nDANIEL PARKER\nBass\nDaniel Parker grew up in Corbin\, Kentucky and still makes his home in Corbin today. \nDaniel started playing music later in life at age 31\, and enjoys a wide range of music from Metallica to John Prine. His favorite all-time Bluegrass artist is Tim O’Brien. Daniel is the backbone to the hard-driving Tidalwave sound with his rock solid bass skills. \nHe manufactures custom cutting tools by day and enjoys drawing and spending time with the love of his life and their poodle that sleeps between them every night. \nROBERT SULFRIDGE\nGuitar\nRobert Sulfridge grew up in Whitley County\, Kentucky and makes his home in Williamsburg\, Kentucky today.\nRobert started playing music at 6 years old\, and was heavily influenced by a diverse list of players including Tony Rice\, Wyatt Rice\, Cody Kilby\, Stevie Ray Vaughn\, Carlos Santana\, BB King and Mike Riddle. He is a multi-instrumentalist\, fluent in Guitar\, Mandolin and Piano. Robert is also the sound technician for the band\, their annual bluegrass festival\, and other events. His open mind and creative vision lend a hand in pushing the boundaries of traditional bluegrass for the band on song selection for recording and stage.\nBy day\, Robert is Vice President of Die Casting Company and also loves camping\, attending live music events\, ‘Mom & Pop’ coffee shops\, all with his wife and best friend\, Jessica. Robert and Jessica have two ‘fur-children\,’ Moose\, a Saint Bernard\, and Max\, a Bernese Mountain Dog.

DESCRIPTION:Waynestock is a three-day music festival held annually at Relix Variety Theatre in Knoxville\, Tennessee to raise funds for in-need individuals and music-related nonprofit organizations! \nShayla McDaniel is a singer-songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist\, and producer crafting guitar-driven indie pop to soundtrack your life. The Knoxville\, TN-based artist’s music has been featured in MTV’s “Siesta Key\,” Disney+ “Big Shot\,” The CW’s “Nancy Drew” and retail and dining spaces around the world. \nThe laid back artist’s honeyed vocals and indie pop-rock hit that sweet spot between major and minor tonalities with a pan-genre appeal. Pristine vocals\, breezy pop grooves\, big hooks\, and soaring melodies contribute to her pop allure and soulful\, guitar-driven alt-rock sensibility. \nIn a short period of time\, the young artist has garnered prime accolades. She has opened for Joy Oladokun\, performed at Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival with the likes of Young the Giant\, Dave Barnes\, Gogol Bordello\, Birds of Chicago\, and others; Sunset on Central; Dogwood Arts Festival; the Waynestock Festival; Women in Jazz Jam Festival; and live on-air at WUTK 90.3 FM\, WDVX 89.9 FM\, and WOZO 103.9 FM\, among others. And the Ceili Dance and Showcase concert for everyone to enjoy. \nThe event starts Friday night with a Ceili Dance\, Irish session\, open house\, and potluck dinner. People can register for the weekend\, buy tickets for the Saturday night concert and hear some great music. Feel free to bring a dish to share!\nSaturday is the big day and consists of workshop sessions teaching Irish Whistle\, Fiddle\, Guitar\, Bodhran\, Story telling and more! There is also a slow session to help teach tunes and introduce players to the Irish session community.\nThe big finale is Saturday night when musicians from all over the Southeast and East Coast come together for a fantastic show of Irish tunes and songs! But wait there’s more!!!! Once the concert ends all of the weekends participants gather for one last session and play til……well\, until they are done.\nBut wait…..there’s even more!!!! Sunday\, workshop participants are invited to a brunch and farewell session at Boyd’s Jig and Reel Pub. Only $15 for buffet brunch and coffee\, drink specials are extra. Pretty Sweet!! DESCRIPTION:Tai Shan is an Americana songwriter whose music has been featured in Billboard Magazine\, American Songwriter\, Americana UK\, and on NPR. Based out of Nashville\, her songwriting focuses on positive messages. Her song\, “Burn it Down” celebrates 100 years since the “right to vote” and was featured in Billboard Magazine. A magna cum laude graduate of Cornish College of the Arts\, Tai Shan and her husband Austin who beatboxes and plays trumpet as the other half of the group toured the United States\, Mexico\, and Canada\, performed for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation\, and at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville. \nAn Arts- trained classical and jazz composer\, Tai is known for her incredible versatility\, in both music and subject matter. Though she has plenty of her own life stories to draw from—including singing for the Pope\, watching all of her belongings ignite in a house fire\, playing a music tour through Yellowstone National Park\, and teaching music at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (Mo-Pop)\, Dusty Strings\, and Seattle Girls School—Tai prefers to mine literature. She’s penned over 50 songs\, in collaboration with Bushwick Book Club\, that give musical voice to literary characters and immerse the audience in the story\, the same way a novel does. In 2016\, Tai was awarded a Jack Straw Cultural Center artist recording grant to complete her third album\, Meet in the Middle.

DESCRIPTION:Liv Greene is an Americana singer/songwriter\, producer\, and guitarist based in Nashville\, TN\, whose music “envelops a forlorn loneliness that’s at once poignant and crushing.” – American Songwriter. Deep Feeler\, her sophomore album\, is a reckoning with reality\, a vulnerable snapshot of hard-won self-acceptance. It’s feminine\, queer\, and defiant. It also heralds the arrival of Greene as a powerful new voice who joins the songwriting tradition of Emmylou\, Patty\, Gillian\, and Lucinda – in her own way. Greene self-produced and recorded Deep Feeler primarily live to tape in Nashville’s Woodland Sound Studios\, with collaborator Matt Andrews (Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings\, O Brother Where Art Thou) and a dreamy band of friends including Jack Schneider\, Sarah Jarosz\, Dom Billett\, Elise Leavy\, Jordan Tice\, and Christian Sedelmeyer. The resulting collection of lilting melodies and poignant storytelling is a bold achievement: a piece of art that matters culturally\, musically\, and personally. Greene is also a passionate educator\, with experience teaching songwriting and guitar in private lesson settings\, online classes\, and group instruction through the Passim School of Music in Cambridge\, MA\, and at Interlochen Arts Camp in Northern Michigan. \n \nDrew Crawley is a songwriter/singer based in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky – Louisville to be specific. My roots run back to the red soil of Oklahoma though\, where growing up I fell in love with the sounds of Country and Americana music – the likes of John Prine and many others. \nI play a blend of what some call Dirt-Emo (sad music on acoustic guitars) and Americana. The thing I’m most passionate about in the world is writing good songs and playing them with my best friends. I hope you’ll come see me and the boys play or listen to my music. The greatest gift I’ve been given through music is that of hope\, recovery\, and redemption. I hope that my songs will do the same for you.
