Big Ears presents : Music for 2 Radios broadcast on WDVX & WUTK 3/24/18

Program Update : Big Ears Festival Events are headed your way on WDVX March 22-24, 2018!

Big Ears Festival is coming up next weekend, which means all sorts of unique things will be happening in downtown Knoxville! WDVX will be participating in the festivities, and we want to give you a heads up on what to expect on the air on Saturday, March 24th between 2-3pm ET.

Ben Shemie (SUUNS) will be exploring local airwaves through his radiophonic piece Music for 2 Radios as a part of the Big Ears Festival. In collaboration with our friends at WUTK 90.3FM, WDVX will bring Shemie’s radio wave soundscape from our transmitters to your ears. Both WDVX & WUTK will simultaneously broadcast this piece and audiences are invited to tune in to each radio station at the same time to hear the full performance.

The performance requires two FM radios: one tuned to 90.3FM and one tuned to 89.9FM. Stop into the WDVX Studios at the Visit Knoxville Visitors Center to join the listening party. We encourage guests to bring their own battery-operated FM radios. This is a uniquely Knoxville experience, broadcasted by locally owned radio stations for the people in Knoxville — never to be rebroadcasted or released in the future.

Stay tuned to WDVX for more information, and live broadcasts from Big Ears Festival!
