An Extra Helping of the Blue Plate Special – Darrell Scott (Full Performance)

Darrell Scott was in Knoxville during spring of 2016 to perform with John Prine at the Tennessee Theater, and he stopped by the Blue Plate to share a few tunes with a standing-room-only crowd of fans. We’ve got the whole show and interview here for you to enjoy!

Darrell’s latest album is called “Couchfield Sessions” and is available at http://www.darrellscott.com/. He kicks off this show with the first track on that record. This is especially poignant because he mentions his friend Guy Clark, who is featured on the record, and passed away just a few short weeks later.

Want to make the most of your Meadow Lark Music Festival experience? Here’s a list of things you might want to consider.

Limited parking will be available in the other lots surrounding Ijams for $5. But we recommend taking a free shuttle from the Visitor’s Center in downtown Knoxville. The shuttle will run from 11:30 am til midnight ensuring that everyone can get to and from the festival with ease! Parking is free downtown on the weekends. 3) Buy Tickets by June 24th before the Price Goes Up

General admission ticket prices are $25 through June 24th, but they go up to $35 if you wait to get them at the gate. So make your dollars go further by buying tickets early.

4) Be Prepared to Eat Delicious Food & Enjoy Tasty Drinks

We’ve gathered together some of the best food trucks and vendors that Knoxville has to offer, so come hungry! Food will be available for purchase in the festival plaza all day long. Special food needs? Many of our vendors offer vegetarian and vegan food options. Please be aware that some of our vendors may not accept debit/credit cards.

Don’t forget to bring your ID if you want to enjoy adult beverages! In order to purchase beer, you must present your valid photo ID at the gate and receive a 21+ wristband. Absolutely no outside alcohol will be allowed in the festival grounds! Non-alcoholic beverages, including water and soda, will be available for purchase to help you stay hydrated.

5) Leave Fido & Fluffy at Home

We all love our pets, and we know they love great music as much as you do, but pets are not allowed in the festival grounds. Please leave your four-legged friends at home.
