Volunteers are an integral and essential part of the continuation and success of WDVX. 

Becoming a WDVX volunteer is a great way to show your support for community radio and all the quality programming WDVX offers.  We are always looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers.  Is that you?

Volunteer Opportunities

Fund Drives
Fund drives for WDVX are our most important fundraising effort.  Volunteers answer phones, take pledges, help with data entry and package thank you gifts during and after the drive.  Shifts are usually scheduled for 3-4 hours at a time.  This is a great opportunity to get involved with WDVX and make a huge difference.  Training is available.  Our next fund drive is April 2-13, 2008.

Special Events (evenings and weekends)
WDVX attends numerous concerts and festivals throughout the region.  Volunteers are needed to represent the station at these events.  They hand out WDVX literature, sign up potential members to receive the WDVX E-newsletter, and generally, are there to promote the radio station.

WDVX Blue Plate Special (weekdays)
WDVX Blue Plate Special (BPS) volunteers need to be available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Volunteers set up the registration table, sell artist merchandise, promote upcoming WDVX events and clean up at the end.  An interview with the Volunteer Coordinator may be required in order to become a  BPS volunteer.

College Students
Are you a college student? WDVX has several internship opportunities available throughout the year, including WDVX Blue Plate Special Associate Producer/Promotions Coordinator.
