Friday, July 3rd
Support for WDVX comes West Park Baptist Church presenting ''Celebrate America'' on Friday, July 3rd from 7:00p.m. til dark. Featuring activities and games for all ages with music from the Just Us Bluegrass Band and fireworks by Pyroshows. Food vendors on site. Free admission with festival seating. West Park Baptist Church is located at 8833 Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville.

Saturday, July 4th
WDVX is a proud participating sponsor of the City of Knoxville's ''Festival on the Fourth'' at the World Fairs Park on July 4th,. This years WDVX North Lawn Stage features Matt Stillwell, The Lonesome Coyotes, The Bearded, Van Eaton and Friends plus Freddy Smith and his Chicken with a special Patriotic Poultry show. The WDVX stage starts at 3:00p.m and goes until the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra starts at 8:00p.m. from the south stage with the traditional fireworks spectacular ending. Children's activities plus food & drinks will be available throughout the day.

July 29th 2009
WDVX and The Knoxville Americana Music Association with AC Entertainment presents Tennessee Shines live from the Bijou on July 29th with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Alecia Nugent, Rob Ickes with Michael Alvey & Robinella, Jay Clark and Grammy winning host Jim Lauderdale. Tennessee Shines is the new fast paced monthly series showcasing local and national artists on the last Wednesday of every month from the Bijou Theatre, with live broadcasts on WDVX. Every Tuesday
Wild Wing Café presents the Tuesday Night Shindig. Freddy Smith will emcee. The music begins at 6:30. Tuesday, On July 7th , Avery Trace performs and on July 14th the Kentucky Grass Project with Lewell Molen returns.   Wild Wing Café is located at the Campbell Station Rd. exit off of I-40, behind the Cracker Barrel. Every Thursday
Support for WDVX comes from the Historic Old City District
Association a non-profit organization along with WDVX presenting the new free music series Old City Live every Thursday from the big stage in the Old City Courtyard. On July 2nd Mic Harrison & the High Score will kick off the series with J.C. & the Dirty Smokers. July 9th features Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers with Matt Wood's Plan A. The music starts at 8:00PM. Every Friday & Saturday
The Catalyst a new music and gathering venue in the Old City presents Blues in the Courtyard every Friday & Saturday from 4 to 9 with local blues artists and happy hour specials. On Saturday, June 27th, the Catalyst presents the monthly K-Town Country Carnival starting at 8PM with a local line up including hosts the Knotty Knots and featuring Greg Horne, Andy Pirkle & Mike McGill and special guests Kata & the Blaze.The Catalyst is located at 125 East Jackson Avenue across from Barleys. The Bijou Theatre welcomes Joan Baez in concert on July 20th. Also at the Bijou in July is Les Claypool on the 7th and Eddie Kowalczyk, will perform a special solo-acoustic show on July 9th. Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson will be in concert on August 15th. The WDVX Americana High Life Series coninues with Mic Harrison & The High Score, July 25, 2009. The Shed is a modern covered performance venue, located at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson Buell on Lamar Alexander Parkway in Maryville. Friday, July 10th
WDVX is a proud media sponsor of the 4th annual Appalachian Celebration presented by The Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont and the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center. The Celebration will take place on Friday, July 10th at the outdoor amphitheater at the Heritage Center in Townsend Tennessee. The event celebrates the music of the mountains with song and stories from Charles Maynard and music from the Woodpickers. July 10th & 11th
Support for WDVX comes from the Cumberland County Fair Association, presenting the first ever Plateau Bluegrass & Barbeque Festival on July 10th & 11th at the community complex in Crossville, Tennessee. Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time performs on Friday, July 10th and Carrie Hassler & Hard Rain headlines on Saturday, July 11th. A bluegrass band competition will feature a Friday Traditional Band Competition and on Saturday it will be a Progressive Band competition with a grand prize of $1,000 to the overall winning band. Saturday, July 11th
Conservation Fisheries presents a fundraising event featuring the Hackensaw Boys, Jay Clark and more music on Saturday, July 11th from noon to 6:00p.m., at the Shady Grove Meadery located in Lake City, just north of Knoxville off of I-75 at exit 128. The City of Pigeon Forge & WDVX present the 5th annual StringTime in the Smokies on August 14th & 15th. This years music celebration is an official Great Smoky Mountains National Park 75th Anniversary event. Stringtime is a free event and starts on Friday night at 7:00p.m. from the Old Mill Square stage with Gary "Biscuit" Davis & Company, Wild Blue Yonder and Timberwinds.
