Friday, September 3rd
Yazoo Brewing Company and WDVX present Yazoo Square at Market Square in downtown Knoxville on Friday, September 3rd. Featuring the SteelDrivers in concert and special opening act the Bearded and a dance caller for contra dancing and instruction beginning at 6 p.m. followed by a headline act soon to be announced. Yazoo craft brew will be available on site. The concert is free and open to the public with festival seating.
The WDVX Blue Plate Special is a live performance Monday thru Friday at noon that is broadcast and webcast around the world in the Knoxville Visitors Center on the corner of Gay Street and Summit Hill Drive in Downtown Knoxville. WDVX presents the Blue Plate Special outdoors...at Market Square. The Market Square Blue Plate Special... every 2nd Wednesday of the month through summer!

Live at the Bijou
The Bijou Theatre presents Billy Bragg in concert on September 16th and the Aimee Mann performers on September 26th concert. The Bijou Theatre & WDVX welcome Daily & Vincent in concert on October 13th and WDVX also welcomes the Richard Thompson Band to the Bijou on October 14th. November 3rd, Punch Brothers featuring Chris Thile concert. And Mumford and Sons in concert November 8th. The Wild Wing Café presents the Tuesday Night Shindig. The Wild Wing Café presents the Tuesday Night Shindig. August 24th it will be Pistol Creek Catch of the Day. Will Tate and 6Mile Express will perform on August 31st. The music starts at 6:30P. The Wild Wing Café is located at the Campbell Station Rd. exit off of I-40, behind the Cracker Barrel. The Shed at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson in Maryville presents Goose Creek Symphony to the Shed on August 28th. The Shed anniversary celebration starts on September 3rd with Leon Russell and special guest Husky Burnett in concert. On September 4th it will be the Kentucky Headhunters and on September 5th it will be the Drunk Uncles with Larry Cordell. Food and beverages available on site.. The Loudon Rotary Club presents the 28th Annual Smoky Mountain Fiddlers Convention on September 10 & 11th from Legion Field in Historic downtown Loudon. On Friday, September 10th starting at 6:00pm., it will be a Bluegrass concert featuring Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Brand New Strings and the Just Us Bluegrass Band. On Saturday, September 11th the bluegrass band, instrument, clogging and buck dancing competition begins includes Juinior and Senior divisions. Cash prizes awarded to top finishers....including $1,500 for 1st place in Bluegrass Band competition, $1,000 for second place, $500 for third and $300 for fourth. This

WDVX is a media Sponsor for Community Share's 14th Annual Brewers Jam on Saturday, October 16th from 1 to 7PM at the Worlds Fair Park. Over 150 craft beers will be available for sampling along with food and music from The Drunk Uncles, Kevin Abernathy Band, Same As It Ever Was and the Shortwave Society.
