Dom Flemons on the Blue Plate Special – Full Performance

After his show at the Bijou Theater as part of the Knoxville Stomp Festival of Lost Music, Dom Flemons returned to the Blue Plate stage and treated the full house to roots music that is very much part of the American songbook. As co-founder of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, and continuing in his solo career, Dom has focused on creating music that is rooted in history. But, by taking a contemporary approach, he hopes to reexamine what traditional music can become. Rounding out the trio on the Blue Plate stage are Brian Farrow on fiddle and bass, along with Tarek Mohammed on percussion. Find out more about the “American Songster” Dom Flemons at
